Overcoming Blocks

Eye-Movement De-sensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an effective technique for resolving psychological blocks.  Blocks are often the reason you feel nervous or tend to make mistakes on a specific skill, e.g. mask skills, DSMB deployment, deep-water entries and more.  Alternatively, you may be aware of particular diving conditions or dive sites that feel uncomfortable, such as low visibility or night diving.  Of course, training with these skills and environments is key, however, if there is a mental block, you may find that there is a struggle to learn or focus.   This is a short information guide, written by an EMDR UK Accredited EMDR Practitioner who specialises in using the technique with scuba divers.
